Alexius Amtaika is a Research Professor at University of Limpopo in South Africa. He holds a Ph.D.
\nin Political Science from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa,
\nspecializing in Political Theory and Governance of Local States. He is the author and editor of four
\nbooks. He is a former recipient of the University of Michigan African Presidential Research
\nFellowship (2008\u20132009). He is also the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of African and Asian
\nLocal Government Studies.<\/div>\n
